IT major Infosys will begin trading on NYSE Euronext’s London and Paris markets from February 20.
To mark the occasion of NYSE Euronext’s first cross listing of an Indian company, Infosys CEO and MD S.D. Shibulal will be in London to open the market by ringing the bell at 0800 hours GMT. Immediately after, he will travel to New York to ring the closing bell on the NYSE.
“Listing on NYSE Euronext enables the UK, French and European investors to have direct access to Infosys ADS,” Shibulal said, adding that the listing broadened the trading window between Mumbai and New York.
Infosys began trading on the NYSE on December 12, 2012, under the ticker symbol INFY. It will trade on the NYSE Euronext under the same symbol.
With revenues of over $7 billion, Infosys represents 24 per cent of Indian exports and 30 per cent of the BSE Sensex 30.
