ITC emerged the top gainer on the BSE near the close on Monday. At 2.40 pm the share was trading at Rs 389.25, up 2.96 per cent on last week’s close at Rs 378.05.
M&M drove up gains of 2.42 per cent at Rs 1,220.85. The share had closed Friday at Rs 1,192.
Bharti Airtel extended its morning rally to hold gains of 2.21 per cent at Rs 362.95. The share had closed last week’s session at Rs 355.10.
HDFC moved up 2.09 per cent to trade at Rs 1,294.95 as against Rs 1,268.50 at close last week.
Tata Motors made further ground to quote at Rs 576.70. The share had closed the previous week at Rs 565.65. This was a gain of 1.95 per cent.
