The board of directors of Jagran Prakashan will meet on Friday to consider a proposal for buyback of shares. Shareholders would be keen to know the quantum of shares to be bought back and the price. Besides, they would also be keen to know the promoters’ intention and mode of participating in the buyback - open market or tender route. Last year, it had acquired 1.55 crore shares, representing 4.74 per cent of the total outstanding shares, at ₹195 a share. The offer size was ₹302.25 crore.
