Rakesh Jhunjhunwala has raised his stake in Jaiprakash Associates to 1.98 per cent in the June quarter from 1.19 per cent, according to the shareholding pattern available with the BSE. The ace investor added two crore shares in the June quarter and currently holds five crore shares in the troubled firm. In June 2017, Jhunjhunwala was holding 1.03 per cent stake, but his name did not appear at the end of September 2017 and December 2017, under the head ‘persons holding 1 per cent or more’.
