Jindal Steel held firm to stay ahead of the pack on the NSE at the close on Thursday. The share finished the day at Rs 138.60, up 7.48 per cent on its overnight close at Rs 128.95.
BHEL was also on a roll, gaining 5.02 per cent to trade at Rs 257.35. The share had closed the previous session at Rs 245.05.
Bank of Baroda traded up 4.46 per cent to quote at Rs 1,055.15. The share had closed Wednesday’s session at Rs 1,010.10.
Cairn India powered up 4.45 per cent at Rs 239.40. The share finished yesterday’s session at Rs 229.20.
GAIL (India) was also on a firm footing, moving up 4.16 per cent to trade at Rs 434. The share had closed the previous session at Rs 416.65.
