Jindal Steel vaulted up 5.96 per cent to emerge the top gainer on the NSE near the close on Wednesday. At 3.35 pm it was trading at Rs 151.20 as against Rs 142.70 at close on Tuesday.
Tech Mahindra also made rapid strides to hold gains of 2.87 per cent by the close. It was quoting at Rs 2,841.75 as against Rs 2,762.50 at close yesterday.
Axis Bank edged up further to hold gains of 2.73 per cent at Rs 569.25 as against Rs 554.10 at close overnight.
Larsen & Toubro was trading at Rs 1,612.70. This represented a gain of 2.61 per cent on its overnight close at Rs 1,571.70.
Bank of Baroda gained 2.58 per cent to trade at Rs 180.95. The share had closed Tuesday’s session at Rs 176.40.
