Jindal Steel was the top gainer on the NSE at midsession on Thursday. At 12.15 am the share was trading at Rs 135.65, up 5.20 per cent on its overnight close at Rs 128.95.
GAIL (India) gained 4.82 per cent at Rs 436.75. The share had ended the previous session at Rs 416.65.
BHEL steamed up 4.51 per cent to quote at Rs 256.10 as against Rs 245.05 at close yesterday.
Hindalco Industries rode up 4.32 per cent to trade at Rs 153.45 as against Rs 147.10 at close on Wednesday.
Punjab National Bank traded up to quote at Rs 224.90. This represented a gain of 3.54 per cent on its overnight close at Rs 217.21.
