Jindal Steel was the top gainer at mid-session on the NSE on Wednesday. At 11.45 am it held gains of 3.24 per cent at Rs 149.80 as against Rs 145.10 at close yesterday.
Tata Power Company was also on a firm footing, trading at Rs 87.30. This represented a gain of 2.22 per cent on its overnight close at Rs 85.40.
IDFC rode up 2.02 per cent at Rs 156.80. The stock had closed the previous session at Rs 153.70.
ONGC flared up 1.99 per cent at Rs 359.10. The stock had ended Tuesday’s session at Rs 352.10.
Punjab National Bank traded up 1.97 per cent at Rs 1,106 as against Rs 1,084.65 at close yesterday.
