Tata Motors’ UK subsidiary Jaguar Land Rover Automotive Plc has reported its strongest-ever April retail sales performance as the company sold 37,286 units. The luxury carmaker reported 0.30 per cent year-on-year rise in sales from 37,171 units a year ago. While Land Rover sales rose nearly 1 per cent, Jaguar sales declined marginally. Shares of Tata Motors will see buying interest, as these numbers were announced post market hours.
SeQuent Scientific: FIIs can now buy more
The RBI on Thursday notified that foreign institutional investors and registered foreign portfolios investors can invest up to 32.46 per cent of the paid-up capital of SeQuent Scientific under the portfolio investment scheme. The purchases could be made through the primary market and the stock exchanges, the RBI said. Currently, FIIs own 6.6 per cent in SeQuent Scientific, earlier known as PI Drugs & Pharmaceuticals.
JSW Steel, Videocon numbers on Friday
Some of the actively-tracked firms, such as JSW Steel, Tata Coffee, Videocon Industries, HDIL, Cox & Kings, Amrutanjan Health Care, Dena Bank, Cadila Healthcare, Sona Koyo Steering, Jain Irrigation, Schneider Electric Infrastructure, Zuari Global, Inox Wind, Assam Company, Edelweiss Financial Services and BF Utilities would be declaring their quarterly/full year financial numbers for the period ended March 2015 on Friday.
