UltraTech Cement on Friday scrapped a deal to buy Jaiprakash Associates’ cement plants in Madhya Pradesh following a Bombay High Court order that said the mine leases cannot be transferred along with the plants. UltraTech in December 2014 had entered into a deal to buy JP Associate’s two integrated cement plants in Bela and Sidhi in Madhya Pradesh for ₹5,400 crore.
