KP Energy has informed the BSE that it has implemented windcube, light detection and ranging (LIDAR) technology (developed by LEOSPHERE) at Matalpar Site in Bhavnagar, Gujarat. KP Energy became one of the first private players in the industry to adopt the unique upgraded system for better accuracy, reduced uncertainty and faster wind statistics availability.
With its unique features, the technology will contribute in the evolution of operational continuity in wind assessment of site with higher system uptime and vertical-horizontal exploration of wind data. It would be utilised to have accurate wind resource assessment and analysis, site suitability, site calibration and power curve measurements. Shares of KP Energy closed at ₹211, down 4.05 per cent, on the BSE.
