Bangalore International Airport mandated Larsen & Toubro arm (L&T Construction) to develop Terminal 2 at a cost of ₹3,036 crore. Designed by US-based Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, the 255,000-sq m phase-1 of the new terminal, once completed, will scale up the capacity by 2.5 crore passengers annually. The phase is likely to be completed by March 31, 2021. L&T Construction is also constructing a new south parallel runway, apron and other works at Bengaluru airport currently.
