Lupin extended its morning gains ahead of the close on the BSE on Thursday. At 3.04 pm the share was trading at Rs 1,988.15 against Rs 1,921.30 at close yesterday. This was a gain of 3.48 per cent.
GAIL sailed up 2.66 per cent to quote at Rs 294.90. The share had closed the previous session at Rs 287.25.
IT scrips Wipro and Infosys were also in the limelight posting gains of nearly 2 per cent. Wipro was trading at Rs 603.90, up 1.97 per cent on its overnight close at Rs 592.25.
Infosys built on its morning gains to trade at Rs 1,138, up 1.91 per cent. The share had closed the previous session at Rs 1,116.65.
ITC also advanced 1.90 per cent to quote at Rs 322.05 against Rs 316.05 at close overnight.
