Shares of Mahanagar Gas hit over 16-month low. The stock plummeted as much as 8.27 per cent to Rs 772.15, its lowest since December 2016. The stock posted biggest intraday percentage loss since November 2016.
More than 1.1 million shares traded, versus their 30-day moving average of 938,811 shares. The city gas distributor had on Monday reported a 5 per cent jump in March-quarter profit.
The stock, which is on track to post losses for a third straight session, has fallen 23 per cent in 12 months up to Monday's close.
