Sesa Sterlite emerged the top gainer on the BSE in the afternoon session on Monday. At 2.35 pm it was trading at Rs 222.10 as against Rs 217.40 at close on Friday. This was a gain of 2.16 per cent.
M&M rode up 0.89 per cent to trade at Rs 1,260 as against Rs 1,248.85 at close last week.
TCS edged up 0.87 per cent to quote at Rs 2,698.20. The share had closed Friday’s session at Rs 2,674.85.
L&T shed some of its morning gains in afternoon trade. It was trading at Rs 1,686.80 as against Rs 1,677.80 at close last week. This was a gain of 0.54 per cent.
Coal India also eyed a move up with gains of 0.50 per cent at Rs 384.60. The share had closed the previous session at Rs 382.70.
