ITC extended its morning rally to emerge the top gainer on the NSE ahead of the close on Monday. At 2.55 pm it had notched up gains of 2.94 per cent to trade at Rs 389.15 as against Rs 378.05 at close last week.
NMDC made rapid strides to hold gains of 2.74 per cent in late session. It was trading at Rs 146.25 as against Rs 142.35 at close on Friday.M&M rode up 2.35 per cent to quote at Rs 1,220.60. The share had closed the previous week at Rs 1,192.55.

Bharti Airtel edged up further to quote at Rs 362.80. This represented a gain of 2.20 per cent on its previous close at Rs 355.
TCS also made rapid strides to emerge among the top gainers in the afternoon session. It was trading at Rs 2,593.50 as against Rs 2,538.75 at close on Friday. This was a gain of 2.16 per cent.
