M&M rode up over 4 per cent to emerge the top gainer on the BSE near the close on Friday. At 3.30 pm the share was trading at Rs 1,258 as against Rs 1,201.45 at close yesterday. The company today reported a 39 per cent drop in Q4 net profit at Rs 550.6 crore.
Bharti Airtel extended its morning rally to notch up gains of 4.10 per cent at Rs 417.75 as against Rs 401.30 at close yesterday.
ITC gained 2.52 per cent at Rs 329 as against Rs 320.90 at close overnight.
HDFC Bank advanced 2.45 per cent to quote at Rs 1,054.50 as against Rs 1,029.25 at close last evening.
Maruti Suzuki made further ground to hold gains of 2.28 per cent at Rs 3,786.2 as against Rs 3,701.70 overnight.
