Meghmani Organics on Monday said that its material subsidiary Meghmani Finechem, in which the company holds 57 per cent stake, has commenced production at the chlormethane plant from July 4 with a capacity of 40,000 tonnes.
The unit produces methylene dichloride, chloroform and carbon tea that will carter to pharma and agrochemical customers. The cost of setting up the plant was ₹160 crore and it expects a turnover of ₹80 crore in the current fiscal.
