Metal shares maintain firm trend on NSE, Sesa Sterlite up 4%

Metal shares maintained their firm run on the bourses at the close on Tuesday. At 3.45 pm Hindalco Industries, trading at Rs 134.25, led the pack on the NSE as well. This represented a gain of 5.88 per cent on its overnight close at Rs 126.80.

Sesa Sterlite also rallied further to hold gains of 3.99 per cent at Rs 192.9 as against Rs 185.50 at close yesterday.

Dr Reddy’s Labs edged up further to keep gains of 3.76 per cent at Rs 3,437.45. The share had ended the previous session at Rs 3,313.

Cairn India moved up to trade at Rs 225.65, up 3.51 per cent on its previous close at Rs 218.

IndusInd Bank was trading at Rs 903.15. This represented a gain of 2.95 per cent on its Monday close at Rs 877.25.
