Metal shares extended yesterday’s firm tone into trading on Thursday. At 10.59 am the top gainer on the BSE was Tata Steel at Rs 240.45. This represented a gain of 1.54 per cent on its previous close at Rs 236.80.
Vedanta gained 1.43 per cent to trade at Rs 92 against Rs 90.70 at close on Wednesday.
Hindalco Industries spurted 1.22 per cent to quote at Rs 82.90 against Rs 81.90 at close yesterday.
BHEL steamed up 1.18 per cent to quote at Rs 205.10 against Rs 202.70 at close last evening.
Tata Motors advanced 0.97 per cent at Rs 344.50 against Rs 341.20 at close overnight.
