Metal shares Tata Steel and Sesa Sterlite spiked up in late session to emerge the top gainers on the BSE on Tuesday. At 3.25 pm Tata Steel had gained 5.20 per cent to trade at Rs 334.60. The share had closed the previous session at Rs 318.05.
Sesa Sterlite was up 3.24 per cent at Rs 197.55 as against Rs 191.35 at close on Monday.
Bajaj Auto extended its morning rally to notch up gains of 3.13 per cent at Rs 2,095 as against Rs 2,031.35 at close on Monday.
NTPC steamed up 2.93 per cent to quote at Rs 156.30 as against Rs 151.85 at close yesterday.
M&M moved up 2.73 per cent to quote at Rs 1,276 as against Rs 1,242.15 at close yesterday.
