Metal stocks Vedanta, Hindalco Industries and Tata Steel were among the top gainers on the BSE on Monday morning. At 10.45 am Vedanta led the pack with gains of 3.67 per cent at Rs 226.20 as against Rs 218.20 at close on Friday.
Hindalco Industries rode up 3.53 per cent at Rs 143.90 as against Rs 139 at close last week.
Hero MotoCorp was up 3.19 per cent at Rs 2,375. The share closed the previous session at Rs 2,301.55.
Tata Steel spiked up 2.74 per cent to trade at Rs 376.25 as against Rs 366.20 at close on Friday.
Coal India gained 2.67 per cent to trade at Rs 373.25 as against Rs 363.55 at close previously.
