Metal stocks vaulted up on the BSE in late session on Thursday. At 2.40 pm Sesa Sterlite was the top gainer, gaining 6.88 per cent at Rs 219 as against Rs 204.90 at close yesterday.
Hindalco Industries gained 3.17 per cent to quote at Rs 156.40. The share had closed Wednesday’s session at Rs 151.60.
Tata Steel extended its morning rally to build gains of 2.67 per cent in late session. It was trading at Rs 377 as against Rs 367.20 at close overnight.
HDFC held firm to notch up gains of 1.75 per cent. The share was quoting at Rs 1,349.45 as against its previous close at Rs 1,326.20.
TCS rose 1.41 per cent to trade at Rs 2671.05. The share closed the overnight session at Rs 2,633.9.
