Shares of Indian mining companies today fell due to weak global iron ore prices.
Sesa Sterlite shares fell 1.2 per cent and NMDC was trading 1.5 per cent lower.
According to traders, the stocks track weak global iron ore prices.
Iron ore prices slid below $60 a tonne, lowest since March 2009.
Shares of Sesa fell 21.3 per cent in October-December quarter and NMDC fell 12.3 per cent compared to a 4 per cent gain in broader NSE index.
