What to Watch. Monsanto: No ‘material’ impact from US suit

In a clarification to the exchanges Monsanto India has said that the lawsuit in the US will not have a material impact on the company. Earlier, BloombergQuint had reported that Monsanto was asked to pay $289 million in damages by the San Francisco State Court in the first trial over claims that its Roundup weed killer causes cancer. Bayer AG closed a deal to buy Monsanto for $66 billion in June. Shareholders will monitor further developments on the issue.
