IT firm MphasiS stock today settled with a gain of over 9 per cent after the company posted 15.30 per cent increase in consolidated net profit for the quarter ended September.
The scrip had climbed 13.60 per cent to Rs 475 in the intra—day trade, but erased some gains and ended the day at Rs 458.25, up 9.60 per cent on BSE.
On NSE, the stock jumped 13.62 per cent to touch intra—day high at Rs 474. After initial rise, it shed some gains and ended the day at Rs 459.15, up 10.06 per cent.
MphasiS reported 15.30 per cent increase in consolidated net profit at Rs 184.72 crore for the July—September quarter of the current fiscal.
Its net sales were at Rs 1,557.46 crore for the second quarter of 2015—16, up 6.30 per cent from Rs 1,464.87 crore in the year—ago period.
“We are delivering to our plans of growing Direct International business faster than the market. These results reflect excellent overall performance,” MphasiS Chief Executive Officer Ganesh Ayyar said.
