The stock of Infosys Ltd is likely to see frenzied buying interest at the bourses early this week, as N.R. Narayana Murthy has been re-inducted into the board. Narayana Murthy, who retired from Infosys in 2011, returned to the company as executive chairman from June 1. The company’s shareholders in the Annual General Meeting on June 15 will decide on the appointment. Earlier, he had served Infosys as Chief Executive from 1981-2002, Chairman from 2002-2011. According to a report published by global consulting firm Gartner last week, Infosys had slipped to the third position among India's biggest IT firms. It would be interesting to know what strategies Narayana Murthy would adopt to lift the flagging fortunes of Infosys.
