Offences wing allows FTIL to meet daily expenses

In a partial relief, the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of Mumbai police has allowed Financial Technologies (now 63moons) to meet all its day-to-day operational expenses including payment of employee salaries and statutory liabilities. On July 18, the EOW had frozen all moveable and immovable assets of FTIL, promoter of National Spot Exchange, which failed to settle trades worth ₹5,600 crore executed on its platform in 2013.

FTIL’s headquarters in Mumbai and other regional offices were frozen by the EOW under the Maharashtra Protection of Interest of Depositors Act.

The EOW has so far attached assets worth about ₹5,000 crore of NSEL’s defaulting trading members.
