ONGC up nearly 3% on NSE

Sesa Sterlite maintained its firm sentiment to stay ahead of the pack near the close on the NSE on Wednesday. At 2.54 pm the share was trading at Rs 208.70, up 4.06 per cent on its Monday close at Rs 200.55. The markets were closed for a holiday on Tuesday.

ONGC flared up 2.93 per cent at Rs 321 as against Rs 311.85 at close previously.

Public sector banks Punjab National Bank and Bank of Baroda also made headway during the session. PNB was up 2.90 per cent at Rs 170.40 as against Rs 165.60 at the finish on Monday. Bank of Baroda gained 2.88 per cent to trade at Rs 180.60. The share had closed the previous session at Rs 175.55.

Tata Power charged up 2.68 per cent to quote at Rs 82.30 as against Rs 80.15 at close on Monday.
