Orchid Pharma hit a 6-month high in morning trade today after the company said it has received the Establishment Inspection Report from the US health regulator for its facility located at Kanchipuram in Tamil Nadu.
The report clears the way for exports from the plant.
Shares of Orchid Pharma Ltd jumped as much as 15.8 per cent, to their highest since October 10, 2016.
Over 6 million shares changed hands, over seven times the 30-day average.
At about 2 pm, the stock was trading higher by 7.20 per cent or Rs 2.50 at Rs 37.20.
The stock has moved up 27.7 per cent this year as of Monday's close.
