India's organised retailers will see strong growth, says Jefferies.
The brokerage has initiated coverage on retailers. It says grocery and value apparel segments are best positioned with macro and micro factors turning favourable for the organised retail sector.
V-Mart Retail Ltd stands out in apparel, and D-Mart, owned by Avenue Supermarts Ltd, in grocery; macro tailwinds bode well for Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Ltd (ABFRL) and Future Lifestyle Fashions Ltd, the brokerage adds.
It has started coverage on three retailers with 'buy' - ABFRL with a price target of Rs 180 ($2.75), Future Lifestyle with a price target of Rs 510 and Shoppers Stop Ltd with a price target of Rs 660.
Jefferies has initiated four retailers with 'hold' - V-Mart with a price target of Rs 2,050, Trent Ltd Rs 360, Avenue Supermarts at Rs 1,370 and Future Retail Ltd with a price target of Rs 560.
