Pharma shares traded firm to stay ahead of the pack on the BSE near the close on Thursday, the last day of trading this week on account of the Gandhi Jayanti holiday.
At 3.04 pm Lupin was the top gainer on the bourse, trading at Rs 2,111 against Rs 2,033.35 at close yesterday. This was a gain of 3.82 per cent.
Sun Pharma held firm to quote at Rs 892.50 against Rs 868.45 at close yesterday. This was a gain of 2.77 per cent.
TCS also kept its morning gains to quote at Rs 2,639.85, up 2.02 per cent on its previous close at Rs 2,587.70.
Dr Reddy’s Labs spurted 1.94 per cent to trade at Rs 4,235.90 against Rs 4,155.45 at close yesterday.
Larsen & Toubro built gains of 1.78 per cent to trade at Rs 1,492.8 against Rs 1,466.7 at close on Wednesday.
