Coal India held firm and extended its morning gains on the bourses at the close of trading on Tuesday. At 3.35 pm the share was trading at Rs 415.40 on the NSE, up 3.93 per cent on its overnight close at Rs 399.70.
Punjab National Bank also extended its rally to notch up gains of 3.73 per cent at Rs 143.20 as against Rs 138.05 at close yesterday.
UltraTech Cement built on its early gains to quote at Rs 2,895.90 as against Rs 2,804 at close overnight. This represented a gain of 3.28 per cent.
Cipla perked up 2.75 per cent at Rs 630.35 as against Rs 613 at close yesterday.
Bank of Baroda rode up higher to hold gains of 2.66 per cent at Rs 150.30 against Rs 146.40 at close yesterday.
