Punjab National Bank made rapid gains to emerge the top gainer on the NSE by close on Friday. Earlier today, the bank announced it had posted a 42 per cent loss in Q3.
At 3.25 p.m. the PNB stock was trading at ₹549.70 as against ₹517.60 at close yesterday. This represented a gain of 6.20 per cent.
Another public sector bank Bank of Baroda made gains of 3.62 per cent to trade at ₹550.60 as against ₹531.35 at close yesterday.
BPCL resumed its recent firm trend to make gains of 3.42 per cent. It was trading at ₹364.55, up ₹12.05 on its overnight close of ₹352.50.
ACC held gains of 3.18 per cent to trade at ₹1,013.80 as against its previous close of ₹982.60.
Tata Power Co charged up 2.99 per cent to quote at ₹74.10 as against ₹71.95 at close on Thursday.
