Punjab National Bank was the top gainer on the NSE on Tuesday morning. At 11.24 am the share was trading at Rs 142.10 as against Rs 138.05 at close yesterday. This represented a gain of 2.93 per cent.
Coal India was on a firm wicket, trading at Rs 409.85, a gain of 2.54 per cent. The share had ended the previous session at Rs 399.70.
UltraTech Cement held firm to quote at Rs 2,857.70 as against Rs 2,804 at close overnight, up 1.92 per cent.
Bank of Baroda rode up 1.84 per cent at Rs 149.10 against Rs 146.40 at close yesterday.
Larsen & Toubro spurted 1.76 per cent at Rs 1,763 against Rs 1,732.50 at close on Monday.
