Reports that Idea Cellular has hiked mobile data rates for pre-paid customers in the NCR region, may keep the stock in the limelight. Idea is the first telecom operator to raise tariffs after the ₹1.1-lakh crore spectrum auction in March. It has hiked 3G data tariffs by 18 per cent and 2G tariffs by 11 per cent. According to reports, the rates came into effect from June 3 and the company also plans to increase the data tariffs in more circles.
