Realty stocks today gained after the Cabinet approved the Real Estate Bill.
Shares of Unitech Ltd rose 3.9 per cent, Housing Development and Infrastructure Ltd (HDIL) jumped 4.05 per cent and Prestige Estates Projects Ltd surged 4.82 per cent.
The Cabinet had on Wednesday approved the parliamentary Bill to regulate the real estate sector.
The Real Estate Bill is expected to provide uniform regulatory environment. It will be taken up by Parliament for consideration and passing.
