Shares of Steel Authority of India (SAIL) will remain in focus, as Union Steel Minister Chaudhary Birender Singh said the deal is in the final stages. Similarly, SAIL Chairman and MD Anil Kumar Chaudhary, who recently had a meeting with ArcelorMittal, said Lakshmi Mittal’s company is ready to go ahead with the joint venture. However, ArcelorMittal’s involvement in Essar Steel’s insolvency proceeding is delaying the deal. SAIL shareholders will watch the development.
