Bank and IT shares were among the top gainers on the BSE on Friday morning. At 10.49 am State Bank of India gained 1.93 per cent to trade at Rs 232 against Rs 227.60 at close yesterday.
Infosys spurted 1.85 per cent to quote at Rs 1,100.35 against Rs 1,080.35 at close overnight.
Wipro was trading at Rs 560.95. This represents a gain of 1.73 per cent on its previous close at Rs 551.40.
Hindalco Industries advanced 1.57 per cent at Rs 77.75 against Rs 76.55 at close yesterday.
Axis Bank was trading at Rs 489.70 against Rs 483 at close yesterday. This was a gain of 1.39 per cent.
