Bank Nifty became the biggest sectoral loser on the NSE this morning with only one out of the 12 Bank Nifty stocks in the green.
Even the lone gainer Kotak Mahindra Bank was barely holding itself in the green with a gain of just Rs 1.85 at Rs 447.30.
The major losers were SBI, which lost Rs 30.50 to trade at Rs 1,661.95, and Axis Bank that shed Rs 27.10 to trade at Rs 843.55. The other significant losers were ICICI Bank that was down by Rs 15.10 at Rs 733 and PNB which lost Rs 16.85 at Rs 809.95.
The Bank Nifty index was down by about 133 points.
