The State Bank of India scrip held on to its morning gains to stay ahead of the pack on the BSE near the close on Monday. At 3.14 pm the share was trading at Rs 281.50, up 4.11 per cent on its previous close at Rs 270.40.
ICICI Bank rallied 3.74 per cent to trade at Rs 313.80 against Rs 302.50 at close on Friday.
Maruti Suzuki also traded firm to keep gains of 2.27 per cent at Rs 4,428.70 as against Rs 4,330.40 at close previously.
Dr Reddy’s Labs perked up 1.86 per cent at Rs 4,141.40 against Rs 4,065.70 at close last week.
BHEL steamed up 1.72 per cent to trade at Rs 283.50 against Rs 278.70 at close earlier.
