SEBI has added Sikkim and Andaman & Nicobar Islands to the jurisdiction of its Kolkata regional office.
Issuers from these two regions will now have to file offer documents for issues up to Rs 500 crore at SEBI’s Kolkata office.
SEBI had not included these two regions in its earlier circular dated May 3, 2012. The earlier circular mandated that offer documents for issues up to Rs 500 crore should be filed at that regional office of SEBI under which the issuer’s registered office was based.
For issues above Rs 500 crore, issuers across the country have to apply to SEBI’s head office in Mumbai.
