Indian markets ended the session down by over 0.2 per cent on Thursday.
The BSE Sensex ended at 18,579.50 down 52.67 points and the NSE Nifty ended at 5,649.50, down 13.95 points.
FMCG index was up by 1.51 per cent followed by consumer durables index 1.36 per cent and capital goods 0.91 per cent. On the other hand, oil and gas index was down by 1.6 per cent, followed by IT index 1.1 per cent and TECk index 0.89 per cent.
Larsen and Toubro, Tata Power and HUL were the top three gainers, while Sterlite, Hero MotoCorp and ONGC were the top three losers.
