The Indian stock indices ended over 0.5 per cent up on Tuesday.
Oil and gas (+1.65%), Auto (+1.33%) and PSU (+1.23%) indices supported the Sensex. Banks and healthcare indices finished in the red with losses of 0.05% and 0.68% respectively.
The BSE Sensex gained 130 points or 0.65 per cent to end at 20,160.82 while the NSE Nifty rose 28 points or 0.46 per cent to 6,111.25.
On the Sensex, HeroMotoCorp (+5.09%), BHEL (+3.30%), Coal India (+3.30%) were the top gainers while Sun Pharma (-1.90%) and SBI (-1.45%) were the top losers.
