Metal shares Sesa Sterlite and Hindalco Industries were among the top gainers on the BSE in late trade on Thursday. At 3.20 pm Sesa Sterlite had extended its gains to 4.2 per cent at Rs 201.10 as against Rs 193 at close on Wednesday.
Hindalco Industries was up 3.45 per cent at Rs 134.95. The share had closed the previous session at Rs 130.45.
NTPC trimmed its morning gains ahead of the close. It was trading up 3.47 per cent at Rs 159.4 as against Rs 154.05 at close yesterday.
BHEL edged up further to hold gains of 2.37 per cent at Rs 263.75 as against Rs 257.65 at close yesterday.
Sun Pharma rose 2.35 per cent to trade at Rs 1,034.5. The share had closed yesterday’s session at Rs 1,010.7.
