Sesa Sterlite maintained its firm trend to stay ahead of the pack in late trading on the BSE on Wednesday. At 2.40 pm the share was quoting at Rs 208, up 3.71 per cent on its Monday close at Rs 200.55. The markets were shut for a holiday on Tuesday.
State Bank of India also made further gains to trade at Rs 294.30. This represented a gain of 3.10 per cent on its previous close at Rs 285.45.
Tata Power extended its morning gains to 2.63 per cent at Rs 82 as against Rs 79.90 at close previously.
ONGC made strides in the afternoon session to quote at Rs 318.70. This was a gain of 2.25 per cent on its previous close at Rs 311.70.
ITC edged up further to hold gains of 2.03 per cent at Rs 357.05. The share had ended Monday’s session at Rs 349.95.
