Sesa Sterlite spurted 3.19 per cent to emerge the top gainer in the morning session on the BSE on Friday. At 10.25 am the share was trading at Rs 210.25 as against Rs 203.75 at close yesterday.
Extending yesterday's rally both the Sensex and the Nifty notched up gains on the back of the US Fed commitment to hold interest rate hikes in the near term. The Sensex was up over 340 points, while the Nifty gained over 90 points in the session.
Coal India gained 2.99 per cent to trade at Rs 378.40. The share had closed the previous session at Rs 367.40.
M&M rode up to quote at Rs 1,249.95. This represented a gain of 2.94 per cent on its overnight close at Rs 1,214.20.
BHEL steamed up 2.88 per cent to trade at Rs 264.70. The share had closed the previous session at Rs 257.30.
Hero MotoCorp rode up 2.48 per cent to trade at Rs 3,143 as against Rs 3,067.05 at close on Thursday.
