Sesa Sterlite led the pack on the BSE when the markets reopened on Wednesday after a holiday on Tuesday. At 10.30 am the share was trading at Rs 204.80, up 2.12 per cent on its Monday close at Rs 200.55.
ICICI Bank gained 1.44 per cent at Rs 321.45 as against Rs 316.90 at close previously.
ITC was up 1.34 per cent at Rs 354.65. The share had ended Monday’s session at Rs 349.95.
State Bank of India was the other financial sector stock in the limelight, posting gains of 1.31 per cent at Rs 289.20 as against Rs 285.45 at close on Monday.
Tata Power charged up 0.94 per cent at Rs 80.65 as against Rs 79.90 at close previously.
