The verdict on 2G spectrum scam came as a major relief for share price of Unitech, DB Realty, RCom and Sun TV. The share price of these companies, which had either their promoters of key employees linked to the scam rose by up to 20 per cent on Thursday.
Anil Ambani groups Reliance Communications rose by 9.15 per cent to ₹18.85 from its previous close. The stock had gained around 44 per cent in intra-day trade on Wednesday. Idea Cellular rose by 3.72 per cent to ₹101.70. Unitech surged 19.91 per cent and DB Realty rose 19.89 per cent on the BSE.
“Share price of companies linked to the 2G scam could be now favoured by market players based on their fundamentals as they are no more under a cloud of suspicion after country’s highest court cleared all the accused,” said an independent equity advisor.
