Explosives-maker Solar Industries India Ltd is seeking shareholder approval to enter the projects business, wherein the company will undertake turnkey contracts on build-own-operate-transfer basis from Government or private parties. The company recently set up facilities to manufacture propellants and high melting explosives for the defence sector. T is now looking to use this experience of setting up and running explosives plants to undertake projects on Go-Co (government-owned and contractor-operated) basis, the company said. Shares of the company ended up 2.50 per cent at ₹1,997.35 on the NSE.
